Edinburgh Business School MBA Program Information

The Edinburgh Business School MBA is offered at East Asia Institute of Management, in Singapore. Edinburgh Business School is part of Heriot-Watt University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in UK.

Edinburgh Business School MBA has yet to be accredited by major accrediting bodies, or ranked by major business publications.

Program Structure and Curriculum
The course is delivered in both full-time and part-time format, both take 18 months to complete. There are 3 semesters, each lasting 6 months. Every semester, students will study 3 to 4 modules, and sit for their examinations after.

The curriculum consists of 7 core modules, and 2 elective modules. They are as follows:
  1. Marketing
  2. Organisational Behaviour
  3. Strategic Planning
  4. Project Management
  5. Economics
  6. Finance
  7. Accounting
The elective modules are:
  1. Competitive strategy
  2. Negotiation
Entry Requirements and Program Fees
Applicants who wish to be admitted into the program, must have the following qualifications:
  1. A 1st or 2nd class business-related degree from a recognised University, or
  2. Passes in 3 MBA courses obtained by self-study, and
  3. 2 years (or more) full-time work experience
International students who didn't complete their graduate education in English, must take IELTS.

The full-time program costs S$30,470, while the part-time program costs S$22,150.

Edinburgh Business School Distance Learning MBA

Edinburgh Business School also provides their MBA program in a distance learning format. This format would be suitable for busy individuals who have work or family commitments. Students can study the course from any location.

Most of your learning will be through self-study. However, the school will also provide online support from their faculty members, and they have online facilities like MyGroups, which lets you get in contact with your coursemates easily.

The program does not require you to attend any courses in person, however, if you wish to, you can study some of the courses on campus.

You can sit for your exams in one of their 370 exam centres around the world.

During the program, you'll take 7 core courses and 2 elective courses. You'll spend approximately 200 hours studying for each course.

You'll take one course at a time, in any order that you desire. However, the school will provide you a student handbook which guides you through the entire program.

The start date for courses are at your own discretion, and there is no duration limit for your studies. On average, students take 4 years to complete their distance learning MBA program.
