Queen Margaret University MBA Program Information

The Queen Margaret University MBA, or QMU MBA, is offered at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, in the UK. In Singapore, students can study the program at East Asia Institute of Management.

The MBA program has yet to be accredited by any major accrediting bodies, or ranked by major business publications.

Program Structure

QMU MBA is offered in full time or part time format, both formats take 15 months for completion.

The curriculum consist of 9 modules:

1. Operations Management
2. Research Methods for Business
3. Creative Manager
4. Marketing
5. Managing Service Industries, Organisations and People
6. Dissertation
7. Human Resource Development
8. Financial and Management Accounting
9. Strategic Management

Student's performance is assessed via written assignments, essays, case study reports, and  examination. The general assessment weightage is 40% for coursework, and 60% for close book examination.

The school recommends the program to students who are looking for a career in human resource management or general management.

Entry Requirements

For local students who wish to enter the program, they must have the following qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor degree, or a recognized equivalent qualification, and
  2. At least 2 years of managerial experience
For international students, they must meet these minimum standards:
  1. A Bachelor degree, or a recognized equivalent qualification, and
  2. At least 2 years of managerial experience, and
  3. Proficiency in English Language (Minimum IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
The fees for local student taking the MBA are - S$29,950 for full time, and S$19,650 for part time.

The fees for international students are S$30,150.
